Kiko Matcha

Ceremonial grade, without the ceremony.

Guizhou, China

It started with a cup of matcha latte

It was a slow afternoon. The kind nobody remembers.
Four of us at a friend's home, nowhere to be, nothing much to say. One of us wandered into the kitchen and came back with matcha lattes. No occasion. Just something warm to hold while we talked.

Then the talking stopped.
The aroma reached us first. Then the taste. Around the table, eyebrows went up, one after another, and someone finally asked the obvious question.
“Where's this from?”
“China.”

Nobody had a reply ready. We'd grown up believing great matcha came from Japan, and everything else was a compromise.
The cup in our hands disagreed. And it wouldn't let the question go.

We went to source. Asked too many questions.

So we followed it to Guizhou. We went. We saw. We tested. We fell in love. And we brought it home. That's Kiko. Our blend of matcha is tuned to two flavour profiles today, Ebb and Flow. We can't wait to bring home more!
